Janusnet's CTO, Greg Colla, to speak at TechNet
Janusnet’s Chief Technical Officer to address the challenges of meeting DoD classified and controlled information handling requirements at TechNet Cyber 2026
Janusnet, a leading global provider of data classification solutions, has announced that Greg Colla, Chief Technical Officer, will be speaking at TechNet Cyber 2026 in Baltimore.
As the Department of Defense forces and their international partners advance data-centric security and zero-trust principles, accurate data tagging and classification becomes critical to protecting national security information.
Greg will cover the application of DoDM 5200.01, Volume 2, which governs information classification and marking, ensuring consistency and compliance across classified domains. Greg will also explain the role of DoD Minimum Essential Metadata (MEM) — a required set of metadata elements that support secure data sharing, discovery, and access control across Defence systems.
Greg will address how US Defense can meet the requirements of Zero Trust Execution Roadmap (COAs 1-3), v1.1, Jan 2025, Capability 4.3 Data Labeling and Tagging and Activity 4.3.2 Manual Data Tagging Pt1, and through real-world examples, demonstrate how metadata tagging and classification markings enhance interoperability, mission assurance, and auditability across both connected and isolated IL-6 environments.
